You have a point. But there is also a good possibility, when done rigth.
One example could be services for tourists who come to city and register
to certain services. They get info about the area they are and what they
can do there.
We should not think just SMS-messages but in broader view, when we have
working wap or other systems running. The point is that localtion
information gives a really valuable tool for service-creators to deliver
really good content to the user -- whether it was ads or direction
guides.
