Hi! thanks for your points. noted that connecting a keitai and send email is
easier.  As I am from outside Japan, when an email reach the user, is it
being pushed as an alert message (as like SMS) or user need to retrieve from
POP account?

Any experience in connecting the datacard (PHS, doPa, etc) to a Linux
system?

This is a bit difficult to understand what exactly you want to do.

However, it seems to me that what you want to do is very easy here
in Japan - and probably more difficult in GSM areas outside Japan.

From the explanation you give, it seems to me that all you have to do
is connect your PC with a PHS data card from DDI-Pocket, and then
send emails to the handsets.
