I don't like this "push" word, since it does not describe well
what's happening.
In principle the mail loads down directly into the users handset.
What the users actually see or hear, he/she can determine
by setting preferences. But that can only happen if the phone
is switched on, in range and not busy with other things.
If the phone is out-of-range, switched off, or busy with
booking airline tickets via i-mode, then of course the
mail cannot download (again that's different in mova and
FOMA phones - in FOMA phones mail can download in parallel
to imode usage). What exactly happens in these cases also
depends on the user's preference settings. Normally there is
a notification on the phone screen that mail is waiting,
and the user has to initiate the download.
There is no POP account.
