The server is question runs Bayesian spam filters and i have the ability to 
setup procmail like filter on top of that. One thing that i'm not allowed to 
do is to setup rules that automatically forward mail outside of the network.

The IMAP part of this is that it's possible to access the server via Secure 
IMAP (IMAP over SSL). And besides, an iAppli that let people access IMAP mail 
servers (even if it is via a proxy) seems inherently useful... well, at least 
to me.
