(keitai-l) Setting default values for AU

I'm wondering if anyone on this list has had success setting default
values for input boxes on AU's ezweb browser? I've seen, on two separate
AU phones, the same result; the browser does not display the text inside
the value field.

e.g. when displaying the following form on an AU Inforbar 2, the default
value 'foo' is not displayed in the input box, instead it's empty.

<form>
    <input type="text" value="success" />
</form>

Is this a common problem with all AU phones? If so is there a
work-around for setting default values for input boxes?

I've setup this exact form on http://smwd.jp/en/test/form.html incase
anyone is able to test it out.
