oh why oh why must you have a go at docomo all the time ken. their not
prefect but then they are a lot lot better than KDDI or Vodafone.

isn't that the one of the reasons for docomo's success. there's an article
in wired from about mid-2000 where the top execs of docomo said they made a
conscious decision to split docomo for ntt. they hired internet people and
approached the imode project from the internet perspective rather than from
a old school telecom approach. it took Vodafone 3 years, massive amounts of
money, a failed vizzavi service and a massive marketing campaign to get to
the same place.

uh-hmm, cough excuse cough me! the wheel is square! the internet will never
catch on!

"behind imode's success"? dead successful before it was born!

the same could be said of voda new ceo. cant remember his name but he's
Indian/American. does he have the verve, style and glamour of Sir Chris
Gent. don't think so.

there you go again. how is foma a failure. the biggest true 3g network &
best handsets in the world!
if you are Japanese you should be proud of docomo, just as a brit i am proud
of Vodafone. unless your not Japanese and your rantings above are nothing
other than jealousy.
