Does the Au PocketBell gateway still exist? The one where you called a
number and posted your message on the numeric keypad of the phone? Did
it ever exist?
I wrote a Python script once to send commands to the modem which dialled
the JPhone PocketBell gateway and sent the DTMF tones to select a
telephone number followed by those for a message. (Really)
If you ran something like that which monitored a mailbox and split up
the messages and sent them to you as Cmail it might work. But.. ah...
then you'd have to pay the phone call which might be more than the email
charge...
Have you thought about getting new friends who might write mails that
would be worth reading?
