Lance,

I'm not sure if the gateway with J-Phone and DoCoMo was dropped, but I seem
to recall that required an extra subscription or was more complicated to
use anyway. (Cmail Plus or something?)

If you are only talking about 100-character maximum e-mails, which I think
is the limit with C-mail, then you can send and receive an awful lot of
messages across EZWeb each month for the price of a single beer.

C-mail is a fixed price right, something like 5 yen per message. I never
got around to working out what a (say) 50 character message across EZWeb
costs but I bet there isn't much in it and EZWeb might be cheaper. I
however have no idea so you can work it out and prove me wrong :)

If that's true, that's rather disappointing. I would really like to have a

way to send Cmail to my phone from a computer. It would also be convenient

for my friends (and cheaper for me), who use Jphone and Docomo... it would
give them a way to text msg me (still costing them money, but not me) and
prevent me from having to receive costly email.

Are there any web gateways or otherwise that allows messages to be entered
and sent as Cmail? Any other ideas?

Thanks,

- Lance F.
