We can not help you with IMAP (yet), but if you also have a POP
account, you can receive and read your emails with Nooper. It
has a white listing feature, so you receive only what you want.
Very convenient.
This is how it works:
1. Register Nooper: http://nooper.com (i-mode, J-Sky, EZweb)
(make sure you allow emails from the domain Nooper.com, we don't
spam)
2. Subscribe the "Mail Checker Noopie" and enter parts of the
email address or names you filter for in the filter field
and voila, you receive an alert when new mail from these
filtered persons arrive and can read it convenient with
your Keitai.
These example filters, separated by the | character:
[nooper|mm@|js@|hoo.co.uk|@ani]
and allow me to receive emails where one of these strings
are in the FROM line.
3. Enjoy. It's free.
This above also works with Hotmail accounts, in case you
use an alias for "language exchange" ad's or so.
