Ahem.. it was a 3-4 in Tokyo. You probably caused a few hearts to leap
overseas with that premature announcement of the "big one" :-)

If you are living in Kanagawa Ken you can get details of the latest
earthquake information sent to you by email. The magnitude is measured
from a local point of view so you can know how strong it was in Kanagawa
and at the epicenter. 

Unfortunately it is sent in addition to a twice daily weather report and
rather noisy weather warning service.
