Hello,
As many of you know, the press is making a big deal out of the larger
number of high speed phones being sold by KDDI than NTT DoCoMo. Are these
KDDI subscribers actually using their phones to access high speed services
and/or video content thus resulting in higher ARPUs? Or is it similar to
KDDI's "success" with 64 kbps phones in 2000 when it sold a lot of phones
but content that required these speeds did not appear and the high speed
phones had little effect on KDDI's share or ARPU?
best regards,
jeff funk
