Vodaphone knows a hell of a lot more about marketing than Tokyo Digital
Phone, Kansai Digital Phone etc etc etc. How do you think they became
J-Phone in the first place. Coincidentally this happened shortly after
Voda managed to significantly increase their holding. Also, coincidence
that J-Phone suddenly changed their marketing campaign going for the
youngsters *after* Voda bought out rival BT's holding ending with a
majority.
If you have seen any of the VodaFone commercials in the UK, you can
easily figure out where the swing was coming from.
Before Voda gained the majority, Digital Phone and later J-Phone clearly
suffered from the rivalry between its shareholders Voda and BT.
Afterwards, Voda's commitment and focus made J-Phone leap.
