from what i've heard j-phone didn't come up with sha-mail, sharp did.
actually sharp proposed the phone and its service to ntt docomo first, but
as the ridiculously slow dinosaur company used too long to decide what to
do with it, they went to j-phone which decided to roll out a service for
it. another proof that even ntt docomo does things wrong sometimes.
i agree with you though, vodafone hasn't come up with anything special and
remotely j-phone-like in their gsm markets so it's clearly j-phone that has
the ideas and experience, not vodafone (they might have the cash though).
