Opinions are cheap!

Two weeks ago I bought an P-in-compact card and an air-H data service
account (This also included the ISP service called PRIN). The cards are
simply wireless modems so you can call up any dial-up ISP you want - I
should think you could also send faxes too. I bought mine along with an
adaptor so I could plug it into the back of my Handspring visor. This was
totally gratuitous since I spent less than 75 cumulative minutes each day
away from a fast wired internet connection (this includes meals and restroom
breaks!). However it did allow me to check my email while standing on the
gangway outside my airplane last week before flying to Taipei. Anything
that allows me to get away with increasingly shoddy planning and
organization is worth paying monthly fees for.

Things I had to get:
P-in-thingy card.
Adaptor for putting thingy card into a visor PDA
Another adaptor to fit the thingy card into a PCMCIA slot (free)
A 1 year contract (with cancellation penalties!) with Air-H (this includes a
phone number so people could actually dial up your card if you want - good
for receiving wireless faxes perhaps)
Another contract with PRIN for dial-up service. (free with Air-H service...
I think)
Allot of batteries!

All this gives me the invaluable privilege of checking my email a good 20
minutes before I get to the office!

Cheers,

Joshua
