"iya" has several meanings in Japanese ranging from 'Oh dear!' through
"no, you are wrong" to "disagreeable, unpleasant, disgusting". The "i" is
often silent(ish).

When a young lady (in one use it is fairly "feminine" language) says
"yadayada" , it can, depending on context, mean no, or yes, or maybe. It
is a mainstay of porno-vids, which is why a company called "YadaYada"
provokes mild mirth.

(The REAL Japanese word for "no" is of course "chotto!". In extremis,
(being attacked by a mad axeman) "chotto chotto".)
