Let's say, hypothetically, that your "big non-Japanese sports organisation"
client is the English Premier League, and the revenue model is based on a
Y100-Y300 monthly subscription (eg. fee-based).
Then, the business case and ROI for the site definitely would have to factor
in:
- The success of Inamoto in Arsenal and Kawaguchi in Portsmouth (but that's
Division 1, isn't it?) relative to Ono in Holland and Nakata in Italy, as
this will decide which European league the Japanese will care about. Do not
underestimate the Japanese obsession with their international sports
stars...
- Potentially bad behaviour by the English 'hooligans' during the World Cup
in Japan, and the subsequent rejection of all things British...;-)
