Simple, there are "bugs" or "features" in the phone
that differ.
For instance networking protocols for i-appli are handled differently
on the N? phone and I think the F has some oddities
with URL updates and the month April. etc etc. Little things that
add up to a lot. Check out font sizes!
None of them perfectly implement everything they are supposed
to and some things are left off. Thats a problem but not as big as
it sounds here.
I made some chakumelo files once that would only run on
the F phone even though they all support the same MFi format.
Its less strict in its implantation of MFi (in some ways).
The F phone required a lot less headers.
Its because the phones ARE made by different manufacturers.
It looks like they don't share much internal source code across from
manufacturer to manufacturer.
Its a difference in the implantation of the API, which is in addition to
the difference in the hardware as well as the user interface. Its
amazing that i applis are as portable as they are given all these
problems!!!
