those phones are on sale now? Amazing! pretty fluffy article tho...
Unfortunately the "write once run anywhere" doesn't hold true, as J2ME/MIDP
applets won't run on the VMs inside any web browser. Additionally the ibook
actually uses a totally different API, Kittyhawk, which was developed just
for this product since MIDP wasn't going to be ready in time. Now
deprecated.
Overall tho, pretty amazing to ship a product of this sophistication in six
months.
Can't wait to hold one!
