Hi Kevin,

ASAIK according to DoCoMo the average i-mode bill is
between $15 and $21 per month. (see i-mode faq question
18, http://imodelinks.com/desktop/faq.html)

Since i-mode is based on packet-data transmission, you don't
pay for the time you are online - instead you will be charged
according to the volume of data transmitted.

Like you said, the basic fee for having the i-mode function
set active on your i-mode compatible phone is 300 Yen per
month.

When you actually use i-mode to surf websites or send and
receive emails, you have to pay 0,3 Yen per packet (128 Byte)
of transferred data (sending as well as receving data).

Additionally some i-mode services are fee-based, ranging from
100 Yen to 300 Yen per month.

The fee will be simply added to your monthly NTT DoCoMO cell phone
bill on top of the monthly basic fee of 300 Yen and the charge for
packages.

Does anybody know how much average people spend for i-mode
subscriptions alone per month?

Hope this helps,

Andrea
