not true, according to docomo:
"i-mode Web sites use subsets of HTML 2.0, 3.2 and 4.0"
but they also say:
"Java and other scripting languages are not supported".

so, yeah, you can use certain elements of html 3.2 and html
4.0 but no, javascript is not supported.
