I looked at the product description on their site and mWorldPortal is a WAP
gateway.

As far as I an make out, i-mode doesn't need a gateway of any sort. Would
you call the interface between the mobile phone and the internet a gateway?

I am suspicious that Logica is simply taking advantage of the hype around
i-mode, trying to make their WAP gateway look sexy. Is anyone familiar with
their product? I am curious what other people think.

Nope. I-Mode is just like a regular HTML-parsing PC browser. Only
smaller. No binary compile.
