Searching in the archives came up blank? It seems this service should be of interest here? There do seem to be some discussions in Japanese, but kind of hard for me to understand, and even harder for me to ask intelligible questions in Japanese... I'll try to summarize the topic briefly.

It seems that eMobile offers an unlimited wireless connection service around 5,000 yen/month. It's best effort with a max around 7 meg, though I don't know how that works in the real world. I'm looking at the USB device, but I'm unsure about the drivers (especially for Linux), and also curious if I can use it with ICS (or the Linux equivalent) on my home network.

Right now I'm paying about four or five companies for different parts of my connectivity, but I think this approach would let me cut it down to two. I'd also save money and probably have a faster connection, too. (The second company would be a keitai service, but I'm eager to get Android, and the search of the archives again came up blank...)
