It may well be Dashboard "desktop widgets" type code only.
By keeping it closed they reduce the risk of viruses rather - which
must be a big concern for them on what is basically a small computer.
This thing will be a prime target for black-hat hackers.
The interface looks usable enough.
Bringing it to Japan last makes a lot of sense (alas...) as the coms
side of it doesn't seem up to all that much, it has no MMS, etc etc...
Still - it is v1 - v3 will be a far nicer product.
