Helen, yes, you missed quite a lot.
Your email is too long to answer all the points on this list.
I'll just answer two points:
- your thought that there is less PCs, less internet and less
broadband in Japan than in UK or Europe dates from about
1995 and is not the case today. Today there are more PCs,
more internet and more broadband in Japan than in UK,
broadband in Japan is much cheaper and much faster.
Many people in Japan have 100Mbps or 1Gbps (best effort shared)
to their homes and offices, while as far as I know there is
not FTTH rolled out in Europe yet
- The source of data are the official sources: the UK based
Mobile Data Association (MDA) and in the case of Japan the
official announcements to shareholders and analysts by the
mobile operators.
