You mean regarding shortcuts? On DoCoMo's phones there are a
number of parallel shortcuts to JAVA-applis.
In the phones I know you can put icon's on the desktop, you
can chose some JAVA-applis as your screen-saver, i.e. they are
running by default, some JAVA applis wake up on their own at a
set time (auto-start), and all DoCoMo phones with JAVA have a
button, which directly goes to the JAVA-appli list if you press
the button longer than a few seconds, or twice.
DoCoMo is heavily promoting the use of JAVA-applis since they
drives phone usage and subscriptions, and support their business
model. (People using JAVA applis tend to have higher monthly
billing).
