Maybe you know already but anyway: you can display the results of
System.out.println() on the device by using the key "AppTrace = on" in
your jam file. In my case (SO505iS) I can afterwards display the
traces using i-mode/iappli/left softkey (func)/trace result.

Might help in finding the problem.
