Your article was posted on August 22; presumably that was last year? The
original announcement of Valista (it may have been Network365 at the
time--I don't know) teaming up with Docomo to create the "DoCommerce"
project was the 23rd of May, 2003:

I've not heard hide nor hair of it since then, though I'll admit that
I'm not all that well connected when it comes to these things. But I'm
getting the feeling that Felica, if it can be used to pay for stuff
on-line, may well be a stake in the heart of DoCommerce.
On the other hand, it sure would be nice if something like this did
exist right now.
