You're threatening to start up another "walled garden" debate with this
one ;)
You cannot transfer your mobile number between operators and it will
probably take some government legislation before it happens. If you
moving from 2G to 3G and facing a number change anyway, this is not an
issue but otherwise it is a convenient method of enforcing operator
loyalty.
