Lots of folks are complaining about this, but a general audio output
driver wouldn't work over 802.11 because of the latencies and need for
buffering out signal dropouts. Imagine trying to keep audio/video sync
while watching a movie from your laptop, when somebody goes to make
popcorn in the microwave...
Which is not to say RealPlayer couldn't support AirTunes, but any
application would have to be at least minimally aware of the LAN output
status, and provide appropriate buffering and sync...
