If testing from N. America you will also need a GPRS imode phone that supports at least one of the N. American frequencies, and have coverage in your area. I haven't seen a commerical GPRS imode phone that supports these frequencies, but my information may very well be dated.

For Canada both Microcell and Rogers have GPRS roaming agreements with Wind, see http://www.wind.it/it/privati/roaming/gprs.php

In a related question, does anyone here know if any of the
Canadian operators have a working GPRS agreement with Wind?
Or can anyone tell me who might have the answer to that question?
