Hi Ken,
If your question is "Do people want multiplayer or any netowork- based
games",
I believe part of the answer is that people play standalone games mainly
because there is nothing else.
Come to a Korean PC Room and you will see that once offered other other
choices,
people are quite flexible... Especially multiplayer games have
dimensions that no
single player can match : communication, competition and socialization.
I believe PC users in Korea play very little single-player games.
The major liimitations to multiplayer gaming on mobiles are
- find funny games
- communication cost
Some of our players on Mogi connect more than 20 times a day to play and
send
more than 500 messages in one week to other players thanks to WIN flat
rate plan.
(some used to do it without, though...)
Cheers,
-- Benjamin
