This is a funny marketing initiative by Toyota
Italy.
They just launched a TV and print AD campaign
promoting a special edition Toyota Yaris
equipped with bluetooth handsfree car kit . If
you take a look to the photos this bluetooth
system is even not really integrated into the car
as it appears as a couple of buttons with visible
connecting cables added on top of the car radio.
The Yaris is marketed as "Blue Edition" and
the only other special feature is the availability
of 2 exclusive colors not available in the
normal Yaris line.
The Blue version costs 200 euros more than the
normal one that is more or less the cost of a bluetooth
third party kit for any car.
So looks like they have decided to use Bluetooth
and more in general mobile phones popularity
in Italy to push the sales of a car that is as far as
I know a quite a unique example.
