Here's something from a java.net descussion that would be pretty hard to
pull off but if properly done would be pretty cool. Security issues could
be a bear though.

It would nice to have your Java enabled mobile phone to interface with the
car. It could use bluetooth for communication. Of course we still need that
car-API.
The cool thing about this is that you could use your phone in any car. Have
your settings and programs go with you in your phone.
Use your Java enabled phone.

oooh now you are talking. That would be cool as hell. Seat position would
be with you no matter what car you are in! Suddenly there is a lot of sense
being made here! ;)
