Innaworks J2ME Practitioner Survey Result
The result of J2ME Practitioner Survey has been collated from more than 70
responses received from 25 July 2003 to 1 September 2003. The result has
provided some interesting and surprising insights. It is now available at
http://www.innaworks.com.
The J2ME Practitioner Survey is open at http://www.onlinesurvey.co.nz/J2ME/.
Your participation is most appreciated and necessary for the continuing
success of this survey. If you have not yet filled in this survey, please do
so, as a bigger sample size will make the results more meaningful.
This not-for-profit survey intends to provide the J2ME development community
(including game and business application developers) information on the
current state of practice in the industry. The targeted participants are the
CTOs, project managers and programmers in this sector. The collected
information is reported and regularly updated at http://www.innaworks.com.
The survey results are intended for practitioners and business management
alike.
While researching for a conference paper, it is noticed that there is a
distinct lack of concrete information about the current state of practice
and the barriers/problems facing the practitioners. Without such information
it is difficult for the to improve the development tools, practices and
processes to address the real needs of the mobile application development
community. The J2ME Practitioner Survey is designed to fill this
information gap.
