I think the only practical positioning technology we have now is GPS. but au/KDDI's location service isn't that popular and isn't yet one of their killer-apps. DoCoMo and J-Phone use PDC cell id, which has been proved near useless. the DLP (DoCoMo location platform) GPS has no network support and is more expansive and far less popular. for any information on LBS in Japan, just google "CoCoSecom". http://www.cocosecom.com/ , http://www.855756.com/ http://www.dlpservice.jp/index2.php http://www.epsondevice.com/www/jp/pro/module/gps.nsf/ http://www.oki.com/jp/SSC/GPCTI/ http://www.zdnet.co.jp/mobile/0305/30/n_gps.html http://www.zdnet.co.jp/mobile/0302/21/n_ipse.html http://www.zdnet.co.jp/enterprise/0210/29/n10.html http://k-tai.impress.co.jp/cda/article/news_toppage/9780.html http://www.pulver.com/lbsreport/lastlbsreport.10jun01.txt __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
