mom's cooking book says:
the current 1xEV-DV can do 5.184 Mb/s over a 1.25 MHz carrier, thus
for a 5 MHz band, we should be able to do at least 20 Mb/s.
note: DV is based on Motorola 1XTREME technology and Qualcomm isn't
very interested. besides the fast speed, cdma2000's lethal weapon
is the low price it can offer, a far more economical system than UMTS.
for UMTS, the HSDPA technology that DoCoMo will use offers 10+ Mb/s
data rates, and MIMO about 20 Mb/s over 5 MHz. the original 2 Mb/s
standard is a shite, careless waste of radio resource.
the MC-CDMA and LAS-CDMA systems will achieve 30 Mb/s around 2005.
