exactly. if you want 3G (fast data rate), you can change to FOMA,
if you want something better than FOMA, there is Vodafone VGS, and
if you want something better than UMTS, there is au/KDDI cdma2000.
most, if not all, the technical advantages PDC networks have today
over cdma like fast paging, good indoor coverage, long battery life,
will be lost when DoCoMo and J-Phone move on to UMTS.
