An update about DoCoMo-Wind i-mode partnership in Italy:
The agreement has been signed the 16th of June.
Before Wind, DoCoMo has been in talks with TIM and 3.
As you already know nothing followed the announced
agreement with TIM and the talks with 3 failed to
come to something useful.
TImeline for i-mode launch in Italy:
September 2003
First i-mode services launched in Italy
January 2004
Full i-mode integration and Wind introduction of 3G services
June 2004
There is a possibility that Ntt DoCoMo will have the control
of Wind by acquiring the a majority stake from *Enel.

*Enel already announced the intention to sell WInd but this is has been
a problem since today also because Wind IPO in the italian stock
exchange has been postponed several times for the adverse
economic environment. Enel is obliged to sell Wind for antitrust
reasons.
