Is N-Gage already doomed? Here is the fresh news
from today Sony PSP press conference:
"Due out in fourth quarter of 2004, the PSP will be
Sony's first foray into the portable gaming market.
The device was not shown but several specs were
given. The new platform will use a new media
called the Universal Media Disc (UMD). At have
the size of a standard CD, the disc will hold a
generous 1.8 GB of data. The PSP will sport a
4.5 inch, 480 x 272 pixel widescreen. The
rendering engine will use 3D polygons and
NURBS for graphics. The PSP will include
USB 2.0 and a Memory Stick slot for connectivity.
SCEI will offer PC-based dev tool starting
fall 2003. Ken Kutaragi called the PSP,
"The Walkman of the 21st century." "

Could be interesting to see if they plan any
Keitai integration for multiplayer
games that is that strong selling
point of Nokia N-Gage.
