if you want a larger mailbox, register to AOLi, a Web mail service
which allows up to 1,000 messages in the mailbox for 27 days.
it's free but you'll likely pay more packet charge to DoCoMo.
a third-party mail service may also be a good idea.

DoCoMo provides simple domain filters which you may want to try.

this is the easiest way especially if you don't want to change
your mail address. but it doesn't work well.
neither au/KDDI nor J-Phone have the problem. they do receive
a lot of spams, but their mailbox won't be flooded easily nor
they charge you a lot for getting spams, so the users don't
have much complain. I recommend au (w/ the packet/middle pack).
there'll be several good new models this spring (A5304/5/6 by
Toshiba, Kyocera, and Sony), if you don't like anyone already
in the streets.
cheers,
Ken
