Hello,
Mail attachments are blocked by the operator in order to preserve
official partners (ringtone bizz).
For the asp probem, it's the NEC which try to download the asp
page/ringtone with asp page name, it takes the extension .asp and the
phone is faked.
You must do a redirection directly to the file mld (use absolute url's
in your redirection, cause redirections don't support relative url's >
error 302)..I'm not sure of what I'm saying, but the problem is the
wrong interpretation of the extension of the url ...
I hope it helps, 'cause I'm not programmer, he is on holiday at the
moment and we faced this problem with the NEC

Objet=A0: (keitai-l) problem with downloads to Nec n21i
Hi all,
Questions from Holland, where we just got i-mode and at the moment only
have
to types of
i-mode phones the Nec-n21i (european version of another Nec phone) and
the
Toshiba-ts21i
I'm constructing an i-mode website that uses a database for storing
ringtones.
The website is setup in Active Server Pages/IIS. So the
download-ringtone
page
is an asp-page. ( like /downloads/download.asp?id=3D23&number=3D2 )
The problem I'm facing now is that the Toshiba ts21i is able to download
these ringtones
but the Nec n21i refuses this. It keeps complaining about 'unknown data
format'
( I know that they have different tune-formats. )
I even tried to rename the asp-file to 'tune.mld' and adding the asp-dll
to
this extension in IIS.
This did not help.
It seems that the only way to download a ringtone to the Nec n21i is to
put
it on the filesytem.
If I link to '/tunes/test.mld' it works. (Without the IIS asp-dll hack)
Has anybody experience with this?
Does anybody know how the Nec n21i handles downloads?(technicaly)
The second problem I have is this:
the Nec n21i is able to recieve i-mails with a ringtone attached
(actually
its in the mail-body).
The same function does not seem to work with the Toshiba ts21i.
Doe anybody know how to send mailtunes to a Toshiba ts21i?
Greetings and many thanks in advance,
