We have a requirement for a technology that will essentially provide a
mobile mobile network. This means that the network itself will be portable.
Key requirments:
- transmitters will be mobile (via truck OK) and have coverage of up to a
couple of kms.
- private and secure network
- network and device capable of supporting text data (2 way) and several
audio channels (one way - receive only) simultaneously
- handsets can be manufactured specifically for this application but ideally
cost below EUR200 per item for 10,000 (excluding transmitters)
- bandwidth licensing required in Europe at least but ideally global.
