Isn't it a typical 3-3-2 palette; 3 bits for red, 3 for green, and 2 for
blue (human eyes are weak in distinguishing blue)?
i did sprites and texture for 3-3-2 imodes (503i iappli) once, and it's hell
to draw/pixel with. (example
http://folk.uio.no/tommk/kousen/kousen_alien1.gif). when just converting
pics down to 3-3-2 it works quite well though if you set up a 3-3-2 in
paintshop or whatever (not doable for sprites etc. tho).
