FYI,
DoCoMo admitted Monday that even within good coverage, about
20% of i-shot messages sent via CSD fail and the users are
still charged. DoCoMo said it would reimburse in August for
troubles happened in June and July.
it looks the modem connecting the MSC and the i-shot center
is not working well, synchronization problem?
DoCoMo estimates there'll be 600k subscribers, total about
40M yen over-charged ... have a guess of i-shot traffic!
but for those who got the connection cut off because of loss
of signal or failed handoff, etc., DoCoMo will still charge
the failed i-shot session as talk time.
btw, when the signal is weak, DoCoMo's TLP performs badly
that it'll take much longer to send out a message and it may
cost you 30 yen or more instead of the 10 yen minimum. cut
the connection off and resend again.
think the hard to use i-shot is only twice as expensive as
Sha-Mail (30 vs 16 yen)? think it again.
