I doubt there is a single "correct and official way
to write i-mode: DoCoMo uses many different ways of writing
"imode", some with a big yellow i-symbol,
some use a mixture or Romaji & Katakana, some use Romaji...
For those interested: DoCoMo's trademark application in
the US is for "i-mode", and that's also what's mainly used
on DoCoMo's english language website.
