(keitai-l) Wil DoCoMo make me give back my phone?

When I go in and cancel my DoCoMo service 
contract, will they try to make me give back 
the phone I *bought* and have used for 1.5 
years?  I'd like to keep it, if nothing else just 
to use as a prop at school or something.  

Should I just go into the store without it and 
tell them that I broke it and threw it away 
or something? :)
