but it's definately too large. surprisingly it's not that much
bigger than a N503is but somehow the design and material make
it look extremely fat and somewhat "cheap".

for a japanese service i'd expect phones to look more "exotic",
which means for europe: simple, clear design and small size but
large screen (like the samsung S100 for example. it's a pity that
this is not an i-mode one).

the phone software is difficult to navigate because all icons
look the same on the weak screen. many features from the japanese
version are missing and there's much less memory for sounds and
images.

they may love it but they just don't get it.

from a typical german cebit tv-report:

"i-mode is a technical standard which is an in-between solution
until UMTS is there. it cannot yet handle video streaming and
therefore it may be better to wait a while."

from another one:

"the great adavntage of the new i-mode technology is that it can
handle video streming. (..)
but who needs video streaming? we doubt i-mode will be successful
in europe"

and so on..
