I'm pretty sure that the NEC handset for KPN does not yet support Java. I
believe Java handsets will be rolled out in Q3 of 2002 to initiate KPN's
iAppli-like services, but I was wondering if anyone was more certain or
knows otherwise. Appreciate the info. Thanks.

It supports both SMS (with the normal 160 character limit) *and* 1000
character email.
