Japanese sounding names are usually not used to sell products to Japanese
consumers. 

So, pitifully and pathetically, SONY commercials all feature (or used to,
I don't have time for the goggle box now) the tag line said in English
with a  strong American  accent.... Another reason not to buy Sony.

Hitachi are an honourable exception.
