the CNET article is from Nov 2000, so it is old news.
apparently, ATT has already begun a GPRS trial in the Seattle area, but
i haven't heard when it becomes available for normal consumers.
maybe you already knew that being that your company is based near there.
you must just be testing us keitai'ers :-)
